With some input from other swing coaches for good measure. I've coached him since he started which turned into a full time head coach job for me for his teams from middleschool to highschool. By the time he was 12 he was out driving me. (Back then we used blades! HA!) The Tech has come so far! Then one day I took my boy out. I hit as many balls as I could after that and played through college. We used to play this little short muni downtown. He started taking me the range with him then out to the course. I started playing golf with my Dad when I was 6. But for those golfers, you should look down at this club like a racecar! Some folks, however, will not like the top line of this club due to the carbon insert (this club is one of the first ever to have this design). It gives the impression that it is a bit thinner than it actually is. Aesthetic Appeal: I love the carbon top line.Shaft Performance: The KBS Tour 90 shaft offered the most distance and consistency primarily because of its torque and weight. I chose the KBS Tour 90 shaft simply because it felt the best for me. Shaft Feel: I tested these clubs with multiple shafts of graphite and steel.I think the face is so responsive with a larger sweet spot that it allows the golfer to feel the comfort to do so if they know how. It takes a while to learn how to make a golf ball move in the air from left to right at will or from left to right. Working the ball has always been thought of as needing a more solid forged style blade. Workability: For game improvement irons, these clubs are very workable. The 3D printed tech behind the face likely is part of this sound. Sound: The sound was unique but not unpleasant. The 3D-printed insert helps with dampening and with speed off the face. Feel: The feel at impact is very pleasing. Forgiveness: The face of the club is a bit longer than most, but it is very forgiving on typical mishits low on the face or right.I attribute that to the design of the club: placing the weight at just the specific right spots in the club. Distance: Distance on this club is unmatched for lower swing speeds.RELATED: Cobra King RADSPEED drivers review What you need to know about the Cobra King RADSPEED hybridsīauer Media Group consists of : Bauer Consumer Media Ltd, Company number 01176085 Bauer Radio Limited,Ĭompany number: 1394141 Registered office: Media House, Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6EA and H Bauer Publishing,Ĭompany number: LP003328 Registered office: The Lantern, 75 Hampstead Road, London NW1 2PLĪll registered in England and Wales. The idea with One Length is to keep the same swing for all your irons, hybrids and wedges, just like US Open champion and Cobra staffer Bryson DeChambeau. To ensure golfers can launch a One Length hybrid (that has the same shaft length as a 7-iron) from the turf, the One Length RADSPEED has a slightly larger footprint and very different weight set-up to the standard model. RELATED: Should you play the Cobra King RADSPEED irons? It breeds confidence and gives the impression it’s not going to let you down, whether from the fairway, rough or on a tee. The RAD Speed didn’t rip up any trees in terms of data, but you can’t fail to like it. Our thinking hasn’t changed in 2021 (see our 2021 Hybrid Test data here). Last year’s Speedzone hybrid wasn’t our longest or most forgiving, but thanks to a cute little head shape, and a friendly look at address, we thought it was a solid, reasonably priced option.
